However, the bench provides an assist to many other exercises. It's a terrific addition to basic sit-ups and push-ups, adding a layer of difficulty to standard exercises while increasing the challenge and effectiveness. It can be used as a step for step-ups, as a mat for abdominal exercises or an aide in basic cardio exercises such as burpees.
