It has more buoyancy compared to many K1s, thus providing better performance in rough water conditions - when the wind kicks up on a lake or harbor, or paddling class 1-2 rapids (with appropriate spray skirt and requisite skills).  The K1 Sport is smaller than a surfski, making it lighter in weight, and easier to store and transport.  This makes it perfect for fitness paddlers wanting a quick, no-hassle workout. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAvailable with either surfski-style pedals or conventional tiller bar steering.
